It will be our team who will bring life, energy and happy times to the pub and to all our lovely customers who walk through our doors. Some pubs give you a ‘hug’ as you walk into them. We will do all we can to make sure The Cross Keys is one of them.
Happy staff (along with good food, drink, service, in quality surroundings) generally make for happy customers, which is why we love doing what we do!
We want our team to have a ‘spring in their step’ and genuinely look forward to coming to work and share our pride in all we do.
In the pub game, you’re often working when others are playing, so it’s important we create an environment where you can feel relaxed, able to be yourself, have fun, and enjoy working alongside like minded souls who share the same passion, whilst making our customers happy.
A new pub opening is an exciting journey and it’s one that you have the opportunity to be a part of from ‘the off’. Bar and waiters / waitresses
We’ll be looking for a team of people to work flexible hours. Full and part time hours available and we can be flexible to work around your lifestyle. Some experience would be great, but it isn’t essential, as we can train you. What we can’t train a ready smile, genuine warmth and a passion of making others happy.

Sous Chefs
Every good Head Chef, needs an equally good wing person. If you have a genuine love of food, cooking, experimenting and getting your ideas onto a menu, using fresh, quality ingredients, in a bespoke purpose made kitchen; we’d love to have a chat. All we is ask is that you have experience of working in a commercial kitchen, producing quality food, consistently and have a ‘touch on the plate’. Most importantly though, you need to love what you do and regard yourself to be very good at it.

Senior / Chef de parties
Our Chef de Parties play a key role in the kitchen team and will have exposure to all sections in the kitchen. You will be involved in the menu development process, tastings and your ideas will be brought to the menu. We want to help nurture you in your career and give you the freedom to thrive, doing what you love.

If you’re interested in nurturing your craft in a fresh food environment, we’d be delighted for you to learn with us.
We’ll help you gain your qualifications and give you the support and encouragement you need along the way.
