A few photos from the past …
Our re-opening day…
We’re sensitively taking things back to their core to build them back up again. The bar will be the ‘hub’ as you walk in, with a good selection of lagers, ales, cider and Guinness on the pumps, along with a ‘sweetie shop’ of a back bar (just jam packed with bottles, instead of sweets!). The rooms around the immediate bar area, will have a lovely ‘pubby’ vibe; quarry tiles, oak parquet flooring and roaring fires. The room fondly referred to as the ‘Tartan bar’ has opened up beautifully, with exposed beams and ceilings, and we’ve extended things to create extra dining space, with a cosy little ‘nook’ area, seating 8 comfortably.
Kitchens are the engine rooms of quality pubs, so we’ve skipped everything we walked into and started again; extended the square footage and installed a new kitchen purpose built kitchen, with all the kit a chef would want. The toilets are undergoing a complete facelift too. Outside- we want to take advantage of our unique setting, so we’re extending the terrace, with comfortable seating, along with adding a little heat and light to take in those alfresco views.
